Waymo Way Easy
What does a tech guy have to try in San Fran? A Waymo taxi of course. You need the app, but after that it’s like Uber or Lyft.
The car pulls up.
When you get in, you have to actually click a button on the car screen or your app to start the ride. Then the car pulls out and you get a safety talk.
After that, it’s pretty normal.
It drove fine. A bus started to drift into our lane and the Waymo honked at it. Just a regular drive.

I’m in Oakland visiting my brother in the hospital, but in the morning he gets tested, cleaned, poked and prodded. (“injected, inspected, detected, infected, neglected and selected”, if you get the reference). Anyway, I can’t really go visit before 2 PM, so with a morning to kill (and a rainy morning at that) I set off for the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
It seemed like a good way to spend a rainy morning, and it turns out they are doing an Amy Sherald exhibit. If you don’t know the name, she did the official portrait of Michelle Obama.
The museum overall was very good and this exhibit was wonderful.

Three Brothers (Part 2)
We all looked better in the picture from the earlier post, but at least we are back together again.
Me, Jim and Tom Jim seems to be doing well, he’s talking and walking. The doctors believe they got all the cancer. There’s no specific timeline, he’s just healing right now.
