    I would reiterate here that I believe there was some jiggery-pokery done to the footballs used in the first half of the AFC Championship mismatch, and that it beggars belief that the quarterback didn’t know anything about it.

    Which brings us to the final conclusion that non Patriots fans aren’t thinking about at all:

    This week, by accepting the league’s punishment, Robert Kraft lined up with his fellow owners against his own quarterback as surely as the Steelers will line up against the Patriots in September. He made Tom Brady into the Last Cheater. It is possible that this will not end well at all.

    It will be very entertaining. Which is a perfectly fine ending for me…

    I’m not even a hockey fan, but the Rangers/Capitals series was hugely close. Every game a one goal game.

    So of course game 7 goes into overtime. The emotions at the end of the video capture it all. Stepan scoring the goal, Lundqvist’s reaction, the bench going wild and Ovechkin’s sadness.

    Sports is about stories.

    I’ve heard many commentators say that they expected an initial punishment of four games to be appealed down to two, but I was still surprised to hear the punishment was four games for Brady.

    He is a lying cheater, but that’s hardly an exclusive club.

    But what I’m really interested in is what the tabloid headlines tomorrow will be:

    Brady’s Balls Deflated

    Brady’s Balls Sit for Four Games

    Brady’s Balls Reduced by 25% (based on a 16 game season)

    I trust the NY Post and Daily News can do better…
