As Dave Winer says, this really is a fundamental rule, but one we often forget.

Don’t slog away at the end of the day…

The MTA released photos of the digging underground to connect the Long Island Railroad to Grand Central Station. This is a huge project that improve a ton of folks’ commutes.

Tim Bray is a software developer. Among other things he was one of the prominent authors of the XML specification. He has a blog that is nicely sparse. Posts are as often about software development as about photography.

He took a gig a Google in 2010, so there’s some pro-Google bias to his blog, but not much.

His latest post is a look at his thoughts when people ask him if they should go Apple or Android. The basic conclusion is, “eh, matters less and less”.

Oh, and he’s very into Ingress.

I will now go out of my way to shop from Newegg. This is really a big deal to internet companies everywhere.
